We’re thrilled to welcome new bipartisan champions for the Special District Fairness and Accessibility Act (H.R. 2766 / S. 2014) – the first federal legislation to officially define over 40,000 special districts across the U.S.

Why does a special district definition matter? This bill will ensure special districts are recognized, clarify eligibility for federal programs, and have a voice in D.C. Establishing a definition will reduce barriers, ensuring that special districts receive the support they need to continue serving their communities.
